Circuit training is a form of body conditioning that involves endurance training, resistance training, high-intensity aerobics, and exercises performed in a circuit. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all set exercises in the program. Suspension & Core is a form of resistance training utilising total body resistance exercise bands. The class incorporates bodyweight exercises in a variety of multi-planar, compound movements. These are done with the aim of developing strength, balance, flexibility, and joint stability simultaneously.
Ashtanga Yoga is is a highly structured vinyasa-style class. You will move through Assanas quickly and powerful, mastering a specific sequence of movements. A Core Strength class literally gives you inner strength. This workout concentrates on abdominal muscles, the back and your mid section to build muscle strength and protect you from injury. Results give you a more stable base for your joints so that you'll suffer less strain whilst increasing your functional strength and help achieve a stronger and more defined core.
The class is aimed at adults (16+) and incorporates developmental stretching, various styles of kick-boxing, self-defence and weapons, as skills develop. HIIT (High Intensity Interval training) is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic, strength and conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body, improve your endurance and clear your mind.
LBT is a conditioning class focusing on re-shaping the lower body; incorporates a mixture of exercises for the legs, thighs, buttocks and abdomen. This is a low impact class, with an element of cardiovascular work suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.
Strength Development utilises all the gym's free weight equipment, coaching all participants on how to use safely and effectively. Every class will focus on different muscle groups with the weights, reps and sets continuously changing to help you understand and achieve your training goals quicker.
An introduction into the main strength building movements and assistant moves. You will be coached to develop proper technique, understand the movement fundamentals & safely execute them. This is a great start to get you going on your strength journey.
Our Hatha classes will offer you a gentle introduction to basic yoga postures. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises). It will be relatively gentle, slow and great for beginners or students who prefer a more relaxed style where they hold yoga poses longer.
