BOOTCAMP

Outdoors workout class held at Saltash Rugby Club. Just bring yourself! We'll provide all the equipment for you. The Bootcamp is weather-dependent.

CIRCUITS

Circuit training is a form of body conditioning that involves endurance training, resistance training, high-intensity aerobics, and exercises performed in a circuit. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all set exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for the next circuit.

KICK BOXING

The class is aimed at adults (16+) and incorporates developmental stretching, various styles of kick-boxing, self-defence and weapons, as skills develop. The class will improve all round fitness, flexibility and strength. Sensei Jerry has been kick-boxing for over 25 years reaching 6th Dan level and has been teaching for around 10 years.

LEGENDS

Our Legends class is a whole body workout that can be adapted to suit all levels of fitness and activity. This class is a combination of aerobic, strength and flexibility exercises specifically designed for our members aged 50+ who prefer to exercise in a fun, social atmosphere.

STEP & TONE

Step & Tone: A high energy choreography based Step class that's guaranteed to make you sweat, smile and work hard!

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Designed for our Teen members aged between 15yrs & 18yrs. The program is based on a 4 week rotation, where one of our instructors will go through various lifting techniques to ensure that the foundations are taught before being allowed onto the gym floor.

BODYBLITZ

Body Blitz : A strength and conditioning class using weights, resistance bands and body weight exercises to tone, shape and strengthen the whole body.

CORE STRENGTH

A Core Strength class literally gives you inner strength. This workout concentrates on abdominal muscles, the back and your mid section to build muscle strength and protect you from injury. Results give you a more stable base for your joints so that you'll suffer less strain whilst  increasing your functional strength and help achieve a stronger and more defined core.

KETTLEBELLS

Kettlebells is a class that will help kick all your fitness goals into 5th gear!  Functional, sequenced exercises designed to work multiple muscle groups simultaneously.  Fast results for strength, endurance and muscle tone.

STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT

Strength Development utilises all the gym's free weight equipment, coaching all participants on how to use safely and effectively. Every class will focus on different muscle groups with the weights, reps and sets continuously changing to help you understand and achieve your training goals quicker.

PILATES

Pilates is a mind body intervention that focuses on core stability, flexibility, muscle control, posture and breathing. Developed by Joseph Pilates the program increases flexibility, movement confidence, strength and definition. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

YOGA HATHA

Our Hatha classes will offer you a gentle introduction to basic yoga postures. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises). It will be relatively gentle, slow and great for beginners or students who prefer a more relaxed style where they hold yoga poses longer.

BUILD

BUILD will give you the CORNERSTONE for everything else to be built upon. Using a combination of traditional methods such as squatting, deadlifting, kettlebells and bags, and incorporating a combination of push and pull techniques, BUILD is perfect for individuals who want to supplement their central  training with added strength work.

HIIT

HIIT (High Intensity Interval training) is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic, strength and conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body, improve your endurance and clear your mind.

LBT

LBT is a conditioning class focusing on re-shaping the lower body; incorporates a mixture of exercises for the legs, thighs, buttocks and abdomen.  This is a low impact class, with an element of cardiovascular work suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

SUSPENSION &

CORE

Suspension & Core is a form of resistance training utilising total body resistance exercise bands. The class incorporates bodyweight exercises in a variety of multi-planar, compound movements. These are done with the aim of developing strength, balance, flexibility, and joint stability simultaneously.

TECHNIQUE DEVELOPMENT

An introduction into the main strength building movements and assistant moves. You will be coached to develop proper technique, understand the movement fundamentals & safely execute them. This is a great start to get you going on your strength journey.

YOGA VINYASA

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. This class has a faster rhythm and you'll be sure to break a sweat. The variable nature of Vinyasa Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body, as well as prevent repetitive motion injuries that can happen if you are always doing the same thing every day.
